Whilst having some down time after competing at the world Duathlon championships in Adalaide I was in desperate need for a post massage as my legs had serious delayed onset of muscle soreness and my regular physio was back home in England. Alison came highly recommended by a friend so I visited her studio where her neuromuscular techniques soon shifted the built up the lactic acid which soon alleviated any stiffness and tightness I was suffering with post race. Alison was very professional and I would also recommend her highly to any athlete or fitness enthusiast looking for a massage therapist, once again thank you so much Alison and hopefully one day I will be able to return.
I first went to Alison when I was half the way through my marathon training for the GC 2014. This was to be my first road marathon and so following a strict training plan (I thought at the time was the best way) but wasn't listening to my body. I soon became tired with very achy muscles, niggles and pains.
It got to the point were my 25k runs dropped and I could barely run 5ks. Needless to say the marathon never happened. Awful feeling, but regular once a week visits to Alison along with rest & regular stretching I was soon back to running a slower but pain free 10ks.
I haven't given up the idea completely of a marathon, maybe 2016. But what I will do most definitely is adding in regular massages as I train from day one.
I would highly recommend Alison. I know hands on treatment or getting your kit off can seem scary but Alison is very professional and makes you feel comfortable and at ease from that first moment.
Would definitely recommend Alison. I went in with a nagging sore spot on the back of my shoulder that's been bugging me for ages, and she found it and fixed it in no time.
Very impressed. Great customer service. Very professional Received the best massage, ever! Definitely recommend.
